The Team
Align consists of 3 female professionals from the fields of physiotherapy, nutrition, and strength & conditioning. Each of us bring unique expertise to address different aspects of bone health comprehensively. We are a well-rounded team, aiming to deliver a holistic solution for our clients with osteoporosis and osteopenia.
- I am delighted to work with Susan Boland on a joint assessment/ review of her clients. As a physiotherapist with over 20 years experience, I look forward to fine tuning the programs for clients, as necessary. This ensures that each program matches your individual needs.
We also work together, with Stephanie Graham, to deliver our Bone Health Assessment days. We use these days to bring you the latest research in Bone Health. We aim to empower you to be proactive & take ownership of the management of your Bone Health.
I have experience in the NHS, the HSE & in professional & amateur sports & I look forward to combining this, with Susie’s & Steph’s knowledge, in order to get the best results for each of you.
- I hold a diploma in Nutritional Therapy (DipIHS) in Ireland and I’m a member of NTOI (Nutritional Therapists of Ireland) and also studied in London with Patrick Holford at ION (Institute of Nutrition). I am a Strength & Conditioning Coach BWL 1st4sport.
I hold many certificates in nutrition and fitness ranging from 1984 to date in both England and Ireland. I have extensive experience working for the last 30 years.
- Upon completion of an undergraduate degree in Physiology & Sport Science, Steph began to seek to specialise in the discipline of strength & conditioning (S&C). Following a year long placement with a professional rugby team (2012-2013), Steph returned home to N.Ireland to pursue an independent career in coaching.
8 years on, Steph alongside husband and fellow S&C coach, Timmy, run an independent S&C gym near to Newry Co. Down. 'StrengthFarm' caters for all ability levels, from high performance athletes to those who seek to pursue strength training in order to improve quality of life.
Steph has had the privilege of working with Susan on Assessment Clinics catered to those seeking to improve their bone mineral density. Research has shown that progressive resistance exercise is effective in maintaining and improving current bone mineral density level. Higher bone mineral density levels leads to stronger bones, which are more able to withstand the demands of daily activities.
